Job summary

Interstate Batteries in Louisiana is seeking a Warehouse Team Member I to efficiently complete distribution center tasks using RF barcode scanning devices, material handling equipment, and WMS applications. You will load and unload batteries, restock inventories, and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

No prior experience is required; candidates should be organized, with strong attention to detail, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Some overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• Load and unload batteries
• Restock batteries
• Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations
• Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment
• Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims
• Operate a forklift and maintain a current certification
• Properly tag pallets (for transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• General warehousing duties (such as restocking shelves and housekeeping of assigned areas)
• Ability to multi-task and/or quickly transition from one function/task to the next function/task
• Other warehouse duties as assigned by warehouse distributor management
