Saft in Maryland is seeking a Battery Assembly Technician to assemble battery components, sub-assemblies, and final containers using a variety of hand and power tools. You will read drawings, test assemblies for proper operation and safety, and work with engineering to troubleshoot issues.

Ideal candidates have experience with electrical systems or an associate degree or certification in electrical or mechanical fields, and physical stamina to lift up to 35 pounds and stand or kneel for extended

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical systems preferred
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings and schematics
• Lift up to 35 pounds and stand or kneel for extended periods
• Prep and assemble components per work instructions
• Use drawings and spec to complete assemblies and installation
• Inspect, install, and test components with test equipment
• Read and interpret testing results
• Collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot issues
• Use hand and power tools to complete tasks
• Identify parts and inspect for quality
