Job summary

Saft is seeking a Battery Assembly Technician in Maryland to assemble battery system components and sub-assemblies, integrating them into a battery container. You will use various tools to verify operation and safety of all electrical components.

Requirements include experience with electrical systems and electronics basics; associates degree or certification preferred. You will read drawings, test components, troubleshoot with engineering, and must meet daily production targets.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience with electrical systems or certification in electrical/mechanical field preferred.
• Basic knowledge and competency with electronics, power distribution, and electrical applications.

Responsibilities

• Prep and assemble components, wires, and assemblies per work instructions.
• Use mechanical/electrical drawings and schematics to complete assemblies and installation.
• Inspect, install, and test components with test equipment or tools.
• Read and interpret testing results.
• Work with engineering to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
• Use hand tools and power tools to complete tasks.
• Identify parts and inspect for quality or performance issues.
• Meet daily production targets and schedule.
