Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a Sales Associate to provide fast, friendly service, assess customer needs, and maintain a clean, organized store floor. You will perform basic battery testing and installation, handle POS transactions, and assist with local deliveries as needed.

The role requires strong communication, a positive attitude, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred and a clean driving record is required.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old; HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Must have a clean driving record and meet driver qualifications.
• Good math skills and comfortable handling cash.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly service and assess customer needs.
• Operate a Point of Sale system and handle cash/credit transactions.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and easy-to-shop sales floor.
• Perform basic battery testing and installation.
• Complete local deliveries using a company vehicle when needed.
• Follow driver program requirements as specified by the manager.
