Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a Hot Shot Driver to deliver batteries to dealers and support warehouse operations, assisting Route Managers and ensuring timely, professional service.

The role requires a clean driving record, basic math, computer literacy, and ability to use inventory tools (tablets, scanners). You must be able to lift heavy loads and follow safety policies in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and do basic math.
• Working knowledge of computers and ability to learn applicable systems.
• Working knowledge of electronic inventory management tools (tablets, scanners).
• Must have a clean driving record and meet driver qualifications requirements.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and/or forklift.

Responsibilities

• Run the Hot Shots and assigned routes on a timely basis as needed.
• Load and unload batteries.
• General warehousing duties as assigned by management, including assisting customers.
• Deliver batteries to customers on a timely basis and in a safe and professional manner.
• Follow all Environmental Health and Safety rules and policies.
• Ensure batteries are charged, cleaned and dated, and stock is rewrapped after rotation.
• Accurately complete reports and claims.
• Interact professionally with all stakeholders including team members, managers and customers.
• Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
