Interstate Batteries in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a reliable Hot Shot Driver to deliver batteries to dealers and assist with warehouse operations. The role blends driving duties with loading, unloading, and friendly customer service, while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will follow all driver program requirements, accurately complete reports and claims, manage basic inventory tasks with tablets or scanners, and interact professionally with team members, managers and customers.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and do basic math.
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required.
• Working knowledge of electronic inventory management tools is required (tablets, scanners).
• Must have a clean driver's record AND meet driver qualifications requirements.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and/or forklift.

Responsibilities

• Run the Hot Shots and assigned routes on a timely basis as needed.
• Load and unload batteries.
• General warehousing duties as assigned by management, including assisting customers.
• Deliver batteries to customers on a timely basis and in a safe and professional manner.
• Follow all Environmental Health and Safety rules and policies.
• Ensure batteries are charged, cleaned and dated, and that stock is rewrapped after rotation.
• Accurately complete reports and claims.
• Interact professionally with all stakeholders including team members, managers and customers.
• Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
