Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a Hot Shot Driver to deliver batteries to dealers and support warehouse operations. You will run routes, load/unload inventory, and assist customers with a professional demeanor in a safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities include daily route execution, battery handling, reporting, and cooperative teamwork with Route Managers and management, while adhering to EH&S rules and company policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and do basic math.
• Working knowledge of computers and inventory tools (tablets/scanners).
• Must have clean driving record and meet driver qualifications.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and/or forklift.

Responsibilities

• Run the Hot Shots and assigned routes on a timely basis as needed
• Load and unload batteries
• General warehousing duties as assigned by management, including assisting customers
• Deliver batteries to customers on a timely basis and in a safe and professional manner
• Follow all Environmental Health and Safety rules and policies
• Ensure batteries are charged, cleaned and dated, and that stock is rewrapped after rotation
• Accurately complete reports and claims
• Interact professionally with all stakeholders including team members, managers and customers
• Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager
• Perform other duties as assigned
