Job summary

Interstate Batteries in Texas is seeking a dedicated Hot Shot Driver to deliver batteries to dealers and support warehouse operations. You will load and unload, manage routes, and ensure timely, safe deliveries while maintaining stock and reporting accurately.

This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and professional interaction with customers and teammates. The position involves operating a motor vehicle (and possibly a forklift) and would suit someone with a clean driving record, basic math

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and perform basic math.
• Working knowledge of computers and inventory tools.
• Experience with tablets and barcode scanners.
• Clean driving record and valid license.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and forklift.

Responsibilities

• Run the hot shots and assigned routes on a timely basis.
• Load and unload batteries.
• Assist with general warehouse duties and front counter customers.
• Deliver batteries to customers timely and safely.
• Follow environmental health and safety rules.
• Ensure batteries are charged, cleaned, dated and rewrapped after rotation.
• Complete reports and claims accurately.
• Interact professionally with team members, managers and customers.
• Fulfill driver program requirements as specified by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
