Job summary

Panasonic Energy in De Soto, Kansas, is hiring a Quality Operations Manager to lead site-wide quality systems in high-volume lithium-ion battery manufacturing. You will partner with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance to ensure products meet customer specs and drive defect prevention.

You will own KPIs, CAPA, NCR, and continuous improvement, shaping quality strategy and auditable processes. Strong leadership and cross-functional influence are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field required or higher.
• 5+ years of progressive quality operations leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
• Experience owning audits and CAPA programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily quality operating cadence through Quality Supervisors.
• Oversee inspection, testing, and release to meet KPIs.
• Drive FPY, COPQ, scrap reduction across production areas.
• Standardize quality frameworks across shifts and lines.
• Own NCR process and CAPA system for root cause resolution.
• Lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives.
