Job summary

Toyota's Battery Production Engineering team in Liberty, NC is seeking an Engineer focused on production preparation and new model launches of EV battery equipment. You’ll work under an Engineering Manager for EV Cell Manufacturing at TBMNC in Liberty, NC.

Responsibilities include coordinating installation, vendor management, and safety-driven project execution with cross-functional teams to meet schedules and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Engineering or 3+ years in manufacturing.
• 2+ years in Production Preparation, Manufacturing, or Construction for high-volume capital projects.
• Experience leading design of Mass Production equipment with vendors from design to installation/commissioning.
• 2+ years managing large capital projects over $500k, including schedules.
• Tracking milestones from project creation to completion.
• Experience creating processes in manufacturing: takt time, line balancing, cycle time reduction.
• Experience reviewing CAD drawings, markups, submittals.

Responsibilities

• Develop installation & trials schedules for each line aligned with master plan.
• Prepare and present bid packs for equipment; review bids for cost, manpower, and schedule.
• Lead or support construction and equipment installation, including safety checks.
• Provide updates on project status to senior management and daily meetings.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality and Maintenance for safe, timely execution.
• Create reflections documents for delays or safety hazards and share learnings.
