Job summary

Actalent in North America is seeking a Battery Manufacturing Engineer to join our contract engineering team in Liberty, NC, focusing on production preparation and new model launches for EV battery equipment.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing, strong experience with capital projects, 2D drawings, and cross-functional collaboration. It is a fully onsite contract position with travel up to 25% and a pay range of $50–$60 per hour.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field.
3+ years of manufacturing experience in a production environment.
Experience in production preparation and capital project execution.
Ability to read 2D drawings and interpret technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Develop process plans for battery production lines with support from the Manager.
Collaborate with Engineers, Construction Management Group, Technicians, Vendors, and GCs to meet milestones.
Procure equipment, plan installations, and conduct pre-production trials.
Lead equipment trials to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
Identify punchlist items and implement countermeasures.
Summarize KPIs and support mass-production handover.
Engage cross-functional teams across domestic and international sites.
Create and maintain schedules and budgets for assigned areas.
Complete internal and external training.
