Job summary

Associated is seeking an Industrial Battery Field Service Technician to support the Southwest Chicagoland territory, performing troubleshooting, installations, and repairs on motive power batteries, chargers, and related equipment at customer sites. The role includes scheduled maintenance, safe operation of tools and vehicles, and delivering professional service.

A high school diploma and 1–3 years electrical/mechanical experience are expected; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma/GED plus 1–3 years of electrical theory, motive power battery and charger repair experience.
• Demonstrated ability to read schematics and service manuals.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot batteries, chargers and related equipment at customer sites.
• Perform installations, scheduled maintenance and unscheduled repairs.
• Promote professional, courteous customer service and satisfaction.
• Maintain and organize tools, parts, and service van inventory.
• Document work orders and service narratives clearly and timely.
