Job summary

Alpine Power Systems Inc. in Indianapolis provides industrial battery and charging systems to manufacturers and distributors. A field-service technician role is needed to visit customer sites, assess needs, and craft effective power solutions.

You will install and maintain forklift batteries and chargers, learn multiple product lines, and ensure customer expectations are met. Some travel is required; a strong customer-service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with installation and maintenance of forklift batteries and chargers.
• High degree of initiative and dependability
• Strong customer service/solutions focus.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• Basic mechanical skills
• Basic electronics knowledge is a plus, but not required
• Computer literacy a plus.

Responsibilities

• Visiting customer facilities to evaluate needs, and develop solutions.
• Developing a strong grasp of the features and capabilities of multiple product lines.
• Installation of all makes and models, small and large, forklift battery and power systems.
• Maintenance of existing systems.
• Exceeding our customer's expectations.
• Some travel required
