Job summary

Hadrian is expanding its battery pack assembly team and seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to move a pilot line from concept to a repeatable, safe production line. You will refine processes, fixturing, and tooling with exposure to pack modules, cell joining, and thermal management.

You will collaborate with design, automation, and quality teams to scale the line toward production readiness, while ensuring safety and traceability on the floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field relevant to manufacturing.
• 2+ years on manufacturing or process engineering, with hands-on pack/module assembly experience preferred.
• Experience with cell joining processes (laser/ultrasonic/resistance) and fixturing development.
• Comfort on the production floor, building, testing, and fixing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and improve pilot line assembly processes (cell intake, module/pack build, routing).
• Support cell joining process development and in-process verification.
• Design and build fixturing, stations, and tooling for pilot line with future automation potential.
• Write and maintain work instructions, control plans, and standard work for assembly.
• Assist with electrical test, formation, and pack-level acceptance testing.
• Implement traceability and lot control; partner with Quality on inspections.
• Investigate root causes and drive improvements in yield, throughput, and cost.
• Support safety practices, including handling procedures and transport testing (UN 38.3).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, automation, supply chain, and QA teams.
