Job summary

Hadrian is building autonomous factories to reindustrialize America. We seek a Battery Pack Engineering Lead to take a line from concept to a safe, repeatable production process and to guide a small team of engineers across pack architecture, assembly, test, and validation.

You will partner with mechanical, electrical, thermal, manufacturing, and quality teams to meet yield, throughput, cost, and rate targets, while ensuring safety and compliance with UN 38.3 and related standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering.
• 7+ years in battery pack/energy-storage engineering with hands-on assembly experience.
• Deep knowledge of cell-to-pack/module design and thermal management.
• Experience standing up or improving a battery assembly line.
• Strong battery safety knowledge and relevant testing standards.

Responsibilities

• Own the pilot battery pack assembly line end-to-end from architecture to production readiness.
• Definea and optimize the assembly process, cell joining, thermal management, and enclosure.
• Develop fixturing, stations, tooling, and work instructions for pilot line.
• Lead safety initiatives including thermal runaway mitigation and compliance.
• Establish test, formation, and characterization processes with acceptance criteria.
• Build traceability and collaborate on inspection and qualification plans.
• Lead a small team and coordinate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain.
