Job summary

Hadrian in Torrance, CA is expanding its battery pack assembly team and seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to move the pilot line from concept to a safe, repeatable production process. You will develop processes, fixturing, and tooling, work on cell joining, thermal management, testing, and pack acceptance, and collaborate with design, automation, supply chain, and quality to reach production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience.
• Experience with at least one cell joining or precision joining process (laser/ultrasonic/resistance).
• Experience developing fixturing, tooling, or work instructions for assembly ops.
• Comfort working on the production floor: building, testing, fixing.
• Strong problem‑solving and data‑driven process improvement.
• Ability to work with limited direction in a fast‑moving environment.
• U.S. Person per ITAR; ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve assembly processes across the pilot line (cell intake, module/build, interconnects, enclosure, sealing).
• Support cell joining process development and qualification builds.
• Design and build fixturing, stations, and tooling for the pilot line toward automation.
• Write and maintain work instructions and control plans for assembly operations.
• Support electrical test, formation, and pack acceptance testing; ensure traceability and lot control.
