Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Production Engineering Technician to assist Seneca Battery manufacturing. You will troubleshoot process issues, validate equipment, and collaborate with engineers to maintain quality and efficiency.

The role supports new product launches, capacity planning, and machine commissioning while upholding safety standards in a fast-paced environment. Prior battery/high-voltage experience is preferred and associate degree in engineering is desirable.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in engineering or a technical field or 5 years of related automotive experience.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a technical role in manufacturing.
• Experience with battery, energy storage or high-voltage manufacturing preferred.
• Electrical/Mechatronics degree or certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support engineer on designated departmental processes to maintain reliable, stable operations.
• Assist with new product launch manufacturing plans and quality checks.
• Support capacity planning and capital forecasting activities.
• Troubleshoot downtime and quality issues using 8D or Six Sigma methods.
• Participate in safety, tooling, and documentation improvements.
