Job summary

Actalent in Mason, OH is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and optimize battery module and pack assembly processes, ensuring safety, quality, and scalable production. You will define process flows, write work instructions, and support line startup and ramp-up.

The role partners with design and quality teams to drive continuous improvement, applying lean and Six Sigma methods, CAPA, and strong problem-solving to meet takt-time and yield targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in an electro-mechanical assembly setting.
• Hands-on with multimeters and oscilloscopes in production or engineering contexts.
• Ability to create clear work instructions aligned with drawings and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end manufacturing processes for battery module and pack assembly.
• Define process flow, work content, and sequencing to meet quality and takt-time targets.
• Create and maintain detailed work instructions, BOM alignment, and change documents.
• Train production staff on new or updated processes to ensure consistency.
• Support commissioning and validation of production equipment and line startup.
• Provide line support during initial launch and ramp-up, addressing bottlenecks.
• Implement corrective actions to stabilize production and improve reliability.
• Define in-process quality checks and poka-yoke controls to maintain high quality.
• Collaborate on CAPA with quality teams and assist with process changes.
• Support NPI by developing production processes and pilot builds.
