Job summary

Gildan is seeking a maintenance technician to perform basic battery and equipment maintenance within a distribution center. You will support preventive maintenance on tape machines, dock doors, and related equipment, and assist mechanics with daily tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong mechanical aptitude, and good communication skills. Safety procedures, Lock Out Tag Out, and organizational duties are essential, with opportunities for growth and a robust benefits

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• General mechanical aptitude and hand tools knowledge.
• Must understand battery maintenance.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance to keep batteries and equipment in good working order.
• Preventive maintenance on tape machines, dock doors, and dock plates.
• Assist mechanics with general duties and safety compliance.
• Follow up on issues and report to DC management.
• Operate trash compactor and baler; keep work areas clean and safe.
