Colonial Group in Rural Hall, NC is seeking a maintenance associate to perform basic maintenance on batteries and supporting equipment. You will assist mechanics, conduct preventive maintenance, and ensure safety procedures are followed in a distribution center environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic math and literacy skills, and strong mechanical aptitude with hand tools. Regular attendance and solid communication are essential for success in this role.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Read, write, add subtract, multiply and divide – understand implied instructions
• Regular attendance is required
• Must have general mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hand tools
• Must understand battery maintenance and techniques
• Ability to learn and comprehend distribution/production business
• Must have good communication skills

Responsabilidades

• Perform basic maintenance as needed to keep batteries in good working order and ready for use
• Perform preventive maintenance on tape machines, dock doors and dock plates
• Assist mechanics with general duties
• Follow up and resolve issues
• Responsible for assigned PM on equipment
• Report results of problems / issues to DC Management
• Gather trash and recycled items from containers
• Operate Trash Compactor and Baler
• Clean, maintain and repair all DC tape machines
• Responsible for all safety signs, lift area, eye wash stations and all general DC safety items
• Must be licensed to operate a lift
• Employee is responsible for safety that includes following all safety rules and following proper Lock Out Tag Out Procedures
• Perform other duties assigned
