Job summary

Concentric, LLC is seeking an Apprentice Technician to coordinate and perform routine Planned Maintenance Services and diagnose and repair products such as industrial batteries and handling equipment. Reporting to a Service Manager or Lead Technician, you will help build a satisfied, profitable customer base.

Responsibilities include battery and charger inspections, problem resolution coordination, and site travel.

Qualifications

• High School or GED Diploma required.
• Certification from a technical school in electrical, mechanical repair or battery maintenance preferred.
• Associate degree from an approved two-year college or university, preferred or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• May be required to pass DOT requirements.
• Working knowledge of basic AC and DC electrical/electronic theory.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to organize own work and work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to travel daily with some overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Execute planned maintenance agreements including battery inspections, watering, washing, and recording cell voltages and specific gravities; charger inspections, calibrations, and adjustments.
• Coordinate problem resolution with Technical Support, Customer Service, Sales and others to expedite repairs.
• Travel to other branches or sites to assist with installation, removal or repairs; some overnight travel may be required.
• Follow safety regulations and company policies, including OSHA, DOT and Hazmat.
• Build strong relationships with customers.
• Take ownership of all company assets and document work orders, PM worksheets, timecards and expense reports.
