Job summary

The Technician, Apprentice at Concentric Motive Power coordinates and performs routine Planned Maintenance Services on industrial batteries, chargers, and handling equipment, diagnosing issues to maximize uptime.

They report to a Service Manager or Lead Technician, travel to customer sites as needed, and maintain safety and documentation while building strong customer relationships and ensuring profitable service delivery.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required.
• Technical certification in electrical/mechanical repair or battery maintenance preferred.
• Associate degree or two-year college preferred or equivalent experience.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen; may be required to pass DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Attend and be punctual.
• Perform planned maintenance: battery inspections, watering, washing, and recording of cell voltages and specific gravities. Charger inspections, calibrations, and adjustments.
• Coordinate problem resolution with Technical Support, Customer Service, Sales and others to expedite repairs.
• Travel to other branches or sites as required to assist with product installation, removal or repairs (some overnight travel).
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies including OSHA, DOT and HazMat policies.
• Build strong relationships with customers and take ownership of company assets.
• Complete all service orders, PM worksheets, timecards, and expense reports accurately and timely.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
