Wabash Valley Power Alliance in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Manager of Battery Energy Storage Operations to lead the safe, reliable operation of our utility-scale BESS assets and oversee maintenance programs, OT, and partnerships. You will serve as the subject matter expert on battery operations, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maximize asset performance and long-term value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum five years in utility operations or related field.
• Experience supervising or leading teams preferred.
• Experience with battery energy storage systems and SCADA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operation and maintenance of utility-scale battery energy storage assets.
• Drive reliability, safety, and performance across the battery portfolio.
• Oversee maintenance programs, SCADA systems, and OT.
• Manage contractors, vendors, and key service partnerships.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing technical team.
• Support new battery projects, commissioning activities, and future expansion.
• Contribute to WVPA's long-term strategy for grid reliability and energy innovation.
