Wabash Valley Power, headquartered in Indiana, seeks a Manager of Battery Energy Storage Operations to lead the safe, reliable operation and expansion of its utility‑scale BESS assets. You will oversee maintenance programs, OT, and vendor partnerships while guiding a skilled team to maximize asset performance and value.

The role focuses on coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to advance grid reliability, energy resiliency, and the region’s transition to smarter energy solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum five years in utility operations, electric generation, battery storage or related area.
• Minimum three years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operation and maintenance of utility‑scale battery energy storage assets.
• Drive reliability, safety, and performance across the battery portfolio.
• Oversee maintenance programs, SCADA systems, and operational technology.
• Manage contractors, vendors, and key service partnerships.
• Develop and mentor a high‑performing technical team.
• Support new battery projects, commissioning activities, and future energy storage expansion.
• Contribute to WVPA’s long‑term strategy for grid reliability and energy innovation.
