Job summary

Interstate Batteries in Texas is seeking a Hot Shot Driver to deliver batteries to dealers, assist with warehouse operations, and support Route Managers. You will run the Hot Shots and assigned routes on a timely basis, load and unload batteries, perform general warehousing duties, and interact professionally with customers and team members.

A clean driving record and ability to operate a vehicle (and forklift) are required, along with basic math and computer skills while following safety

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and do basic math.
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required.
• Working knowledge of electronic inventory management tools is required (tablets, scanners).
• Must have a clean drivers record AND meet driver qualificationsrequirements
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and/or forklift

Responsibilities

• Run the Hot Shots and assigned routes on a timely basis as needed
• Load and unload batteries
• General warehousingduties asassigned by management, including assisting customers
• Deliver batteries to customers ona timelybasis and in a safe and professional manner
• Follow all Environmental Health and Safety rules and policies
• Ensure batteries are charged,cleanedand dated, and that stock is rewrapped after rotation
• Accurately complete reports and claims
• Interact professionally with all stakeholders including team members,managersand customers
• Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager
• Perform otherduties as assigned
