Job summary

East Penn Manufacturing Company, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer I to design battery components, tooling, and production equipment under guidance from senior engineers.

You will support molding design, tooling development, and continuous improvement initiatives while growing technical independence. Ideal candidates have below-5-years engineering experience, a bachelor’s degree in engineering or science, and familiarity with battery processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or scientific discipline.
• Typically, with less than 5 years of engineering experience.
• Familiarity with the battery construction process preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to manufacturing, quality, safety, sales, cost, and maintenance on automotive products and tooling.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for management, customers, vendors, and partners.
• Contribute to concept generation, ideation, and project reviews.
