Job summary

Stealth-mode Battery Startup in California seeks a hands-on Engineering Technician to support the assembly, testing, and development of next-generation battery cells. You will work closely with engineers and scientists to build prototype and pilot-scale cells, execute manufacturing processes, collect data, and help scale production from development into commercialization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or related technical environments.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools and precision equipment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with production records, spreadsheets, or data entry systems.
• Takes ownership of responsibilities and delivers work with precision and quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble battery cells and related components per engineering specs and quality standards.
• Perform cell assembly processes including electrode prep, stacking, winding, and sealing.
• Operate lab, pilot-line, and production equipment in battery cell manufacturing.
• Conduct in-process inspections and quality checks for performance and reliability.
• Record manufacturing data and observations accurately.
• Support engineers with prototype builds and manufacturing trials.
• Troubleshoot assembly, equipment, and process issues and communicate findings.
