Job summary

INX International Ink Co. in Kansas is seeking Mixer Operators to manufacture high-quality printing ink. We will train the right candidate to operate a mill machine and participate in TPM activities.

You will mix batches, provide samples to QC, monitor temperatures, move batches to staging areas, and keep solvents properly labeled and grounded. A strong AM background, reliable attendance, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are valued.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must have basic math and computer skills.
  • Detail orientation and reliability for shift work are essential.
  • Overtime availability is required and AM background is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Mix batches of ink as directed by the supervisor.
  • Provide batch samples to QC and make adjustments as needed.
  • Test and monitor batch temperature; deliver batches to mill staging areas.
  • Dispose of dirty solvent and notify supervisor upon completion.
  • Label and ground solvent tubs for cleaning mixers.
  • Maintain mixers per directions, including lubrication and inspections.

Job Description

We are seeking Mixer Operators to manufacture high-quality printing ink. We will train right candidate to operate a mill machine and on TPM activities. As a Mixer Operator, you will be required to:

  • Mix batches of ink as directed by the supervisor.
  • Provide batch samples to QC as needed and make any additions as directed.
  • Test and track the temperature of the batch when needed.
  • Deliver batches to mill staging areas as directed.
  • Dispose of dirty solvent and notify the supervisor that this has been completed.
  • Label solvent tubs for cleaning mixers as “Flammable” and keep them grounded at all times.
  • Properly maintain mixers as directed, including lubrication, and notify the supervisor of any mechanical defects.
  • Change the mixer blades when needed.
  • Use the required protective equipment (dust mask, gloves, apron, glasses, etc.).
  • Follow safety rules at all times.
Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

  • Have three months of related work experience.
  • Demonstrate good math skills and basic computer skills.
  • Be detail-oriented.
  • Be reliable to work assigned shift.
  • Be flexible to work overtime as required.
  • Have a strong Autonomous Maintenance (AM) background.
  • Be able to perform an active role on multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Have good attendance and punctuality.
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Forklift experience, but we can train you if you lack experience.
  • Mixing, mill and pump filter industry background.
  • Previous experience in the ink industry.
