Job summary

INX International Ink Co. is seeking a Mill/Mixer Operator to manufacture high-quality printing ink. Trainable for mill operation, TPM duties, and batch processing. You will weigh-up batches, mix pigment, and ensure equipment runs safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include operating canning, press out unit, pump filters, forklift, and QC data recording. Shift: Mon-Fri, 3pm-11pm. Requires high school diploma or GED and 3 months experience.

  • 3 months of related work experience.
  • Demonstrate good math and basic computer skills.
  • Pay attention to detail.
  • Be reliable to work assigned shift.
  • Be flexible to work overtime as required.
  • Have a strong Autonomous Maintenance (AM) background.
  • Be able to perform an active role with any multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Have good attendance and punctuality.
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Create and maintain a database of existing formulas and processing times.
  • Canning; operate press out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift.
  • Act as QC liaison, provide ink samples, adjust ink, record data.

Job Description

We are seeking Mill/Mixer Operators to manufacture high-quality printing ink. We will train right candidate to operate a mill machine and on TPM activities. As a Mill/Mixer Operator you will be responsible for:

  • Running batches of ink at proper mill settings
  • Packaging finished product in various containers and applying labels
  • Cleaning and maintaining machines to TPM Standards
  • Learning and applying TPM knowledge to daily activities
  • Weigh-Up Batches: Following proper process order of addition. Shifting between auto and manual steps
  • Mix Batch: Discharging pigment and operating mixer safely; following and adhering to all INX Mixer SOP's
  • Hockmeyer mill operation: Running and maintaining optimum OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) standards
  • Creating and maintaining a database of all existing formulas including processing times
  • Canning
  • Operating the following: Press out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift
  • Acting as a QC liaison, providing ink samples, making ink adjustments, and recording data
  • Completing scheduled maintenance and utilizing troubleshooting procedures.
  • Helping with repacks
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 3pm - 11pm
Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

  • Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Have 3 months of related work experience
  • Demonstrate good math and basic computer skills
  • Pay attention to detail
  • Be reliable to work assigned shift
  • Be flexible to work overtime as required
  • Have a strong Autonomous Maintenance (AM) background
  • Be able to perform an active role with any multi-disciplinary teams
  • Have good attendance and punctuality
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider it a plus if you have:

  • Forklift experience, but we can train you
  • Mixing, mill, and pump filter industry background
  • Previous experience in the ink industry
