Job summary

INX International Ink Co. seeks Mill/Mixer Operators to manufacture high-quality printing ink. Training provided to operate a Mill Machine and TPM activities.

You will be responsible for cleaning, TPM, weighing batches, mixing, and operating equipment including a Hockmeyer mill, press-out unit, pump filters, and forklift. The role includes acting as a QC liaison, providing ink samples, making adjustments, recording data, and performing maintenance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 3 months of related work experience.
  • Strong math and basic computer skills.
  • Attention to detail and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to work assigned shifts and overtime as needed.
  • Autonomous Maintenance (AM) background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain the machine to TPM standards.
  • Learn and apply TPM knowledge in daily activities.
  • Weigh batches following process orders and shift steps.
  • Mix batches by discharging pigment and operating mixer safely.
  • Operate Hockmeyer mill and maintain optimum OEE.
  • Create and maintain a database of formulas with processing times.
  • Canning, and operate press-out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift.
  • Act as QC liaison: provide ink samples, adjust ink, record data.
  • Complete scheduled maintenance and troubleshoot procedures.
  • Assist with repacks.

Job Description

We are seeking Mill/Mixer Operators to manufacture high-quality printing ink. We will train the right candidate to operate a Mill Machine and on TPM activities. As a Mill/Mixer Operator you will be responsible for:

  • Cleaning and maintaining the machine to TPM standards
  • Learning and applying TPM knowledge to daily activities
  • Weigh-Up Batches: Following process order of addition. Shift auto and manual steps
  • Mix Batch: Discharging pigment and operating mixer safely; following and adhering to all INX Mixer SOPs
  • Hockmeyer mill operation: Running and maintaining optimum OEE standards
  • Creating and maintaining a database of all existing formulas including processing times
  • Canning
  • Operating the following: Press out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift
  • Acting as a QC liaison, providing ink samples, making ink adjustments, and recording data
  • Completing scheduled maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Helping with repacks
Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

  • Have a high school diploma or (GED) desired;
  • Have 3 months of work related experience
  • Demonstrate good math and basic computer skills,
  • Have attention to detail
  • Be reliable to work assigned shift
  • Be flexible to work overtime as required
  • Have a strong Autonomous Maintenance (AM) background.
  • Be able to perform an active role with any multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Have good attendance and punctuality
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as required

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:

  • Forklift experience, but we can train you
  • Mixing, Mill, and Pump filter industry background
  • Previous experience within the Ink Industry
