Job summary

INX International Ink Co. is seeking Mill/Mixer Operators to manufacture high-quality printing ink. We will train the right candidate to operate a Mill Machine and TPM activities.

As a Mill/Mixer Operator you will weigh-up batches, mix batches, run a Hockmeyer mill, and help with canning and equipment maintenance. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, basic math and computer skills, reliable attendance, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have 3 months of work-related experience.
  • Demonstrate good math and basic computer skills.
  • Show attention to detail and reliability for shift work.
  • Willing to work overtime as required.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Prior forklift or ink-industry background is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain Mill/Mixer equipment per TPM standards.
  • Weigh-up batches and follow process orders.
  • Discharge pigment and operate mixer safely; follow SOPs.
  • Run Hockmeyer mill and maintain optimum OEE levels.
  • Create and maintain a database of formulas and processing times.
  • Assist canning and other production tasks as needed.
  • Operate press out unit, pump filters, and forklift.
  • Provide ink samples to QC and adjust formulations.
  • Complete scheduled maintenance and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Assist with repacks as required.

Job Description

We are seeking Mill/Mixer Operators to manufacture high-quality printing ink. We will train right candidate to operate a Mill Machine and on TPM activities. As aMill/Mixer Operator you will be responsible for:

  • Cleaning and maintaining machine to TPM Standards
  • Learning and applying TPM knowledge to daily activities
  • Weigh-Up Batches: Following process order of addition.Shift auto and manual steps
  • Mix Batch: Dischargingpigment and operatingmixer safely; following and adheringto all INX Mixer SOP's
  • Hockmeyer mill operation: Running and maintaining optimum OEE (overall equipmenteffectiveness) standards
  • Creatingand maintaining a database of all existing formulas including processing times
  • Canning
  • Operatingthe following: Press out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift
  • Acting as a QC liaison, providingink samples, makingink adjustments, and recording data
  • Completingscheduled maintenance,and troubleshooting procedures
  • Helping with repacks
Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

  • Have a high school diploma or (GED) desired;
  • Have 3 months of work related experience
  • Demonstrate good math and basic computer skills,
  • Have attention to detail
  • Be reliableto work assigned shift
  • Be flexible to work overtime as required
  • Be able to perform an active role with any multi disciplinary teams.
  • Have good attendanceand punctuality
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as required

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:

  • Forklift experience, but we can train you
  • Mixing, Mill, and Pump filter industry background
  • Previous experience within the Ink Industry
