Proper Beverage Company in Kentwood, MI, is seeking a Batching Technician to ensure accurate and efficient mixing of ingredients to meet production schedules.

You will work with a team on 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, 1pm to 10pm, following GMP and HACCP guidelines to maintain quality, safety, and productivity.

The role emphasizes batch records, equipment monitoring, and collaboration with QA/R&D to support new formulations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in batching, mixing, industrial cooking, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of batching equipment, systems, and processes.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with HACCP, SQF or equivalent food safety standards.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production setting.

Responsibilities

• Follow batching processes with accurate measurement and mixing per recipes and schedules.
• Coordinate with Batching Supervisor to ensure timely ingredients and materials.
• Monitor equipment, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with maintenance for repairs.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation, and GMP requirements for a safe environment.
• Maintain batch records, inventory usage, and equipment maintenance logs.
• Collaborate with quality control and R&D to assess product quality and new formulations.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
