Gainwell Technologies is seeking a Batch Application Programmer (C, C++, UNIX/Linux) to join a primarily remote team. You will develop, test, and document software supporting healthcare clients, with emphasis on robust batch processing and data workflows.

Competenze

• 3+ years of application development using C, C++, Linux, SQL, and job scheduling/scripts.
• 3+ years in Linux/Unix environments with batch processing, log review, and production support.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle databases and SQL for troubleshooting and data analysis.
• Ability to troubleshoot applications, interfaces, and data flows, while supporting testing and system validation.
• Experience with Medicaid/MMIS systems, preferred.

Your role in our mission

• Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents programs. Assists in the modification of company products and/or customer/internal systems to meet the needs of the client and/or end-user.
• Gathers information from the system, analyzes program and time requirements, and prepares documentation to change existing programs.
• Researches and analyzes existing systems and program requirements, under periodic supervision.
• Designs programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs.
• Writes specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity.
• Assists in resolving production support problems. Develops and suggests alternative approaches to resolving problems.
• Develops test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs. Identifies issues as appropriate.
• Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation.
• Conducts quality assurance activities such as peer reviews.
• Remains abreast of and researches industry technical trends and new development to maintain current skills and remain current with industry standards.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of application development and programming experience using C, C++, Linux, SQL, and job scheduling/scripts.
• 3+ years of experience working inLinux/Unix environments, including batch processing, log review, and production support.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle databases and SQL for troubleshooting, data analysis, and issue resolution.
• Ability to troubleshoot applications, interfaces, and data flows, while supporting testing and system validation activities.
• Experience with Medicaid/MMIS systems, particularly eligibility processes and workflows, is preferred.

The pay range for this position is $58,200.00 - $83,200.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
