Job summary

Responsibilities include directing practice sessions, evaluating players, communicating effectively with athletes, parents, and staff, and upholding ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory written and oral communication skills are required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively within and outside the college, including student athletes, parents, recruits, civic and business leaders.
• Ability to work as a support individual within a group setting.

Responsibilities

• Instruct student athletes in rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
• Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities as directed by head coach.
• Assesses players' skills and monitors performance during practice and competition.
• Assists with determining game strategy in conjunction with the head coach.
• Supervise student athletes during practices, competition, and events; ensure academic progress.
• Model ethical/professional behavior and maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain equipment, uniforms, and storage areas; ensure security.
• Other duties as assigned.
