Job summary

Lansing Community College is looking for an Assistant Baseball Coach to support the baseball program with instruction, player development, practice planning, and game preparation. The role involves recruiting student-athletes, monitoring academic progress, coordinating travel, equipment, and logistics, and ensuring compliance with MCCAA and NJCAA rules.

Regular on-campus presence is required; evenings, weekends, and travel may be necessary; the position is seasonal and may involve transporting

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Demonstrated knowledge of baseball fundamentals, training methods, player development and game strategy.
Valid driver's license and ability to operate a college-owned vehicle if transportation duties are assigned.
Availability to work evenings, weekends and travel as required by the schedule.

Responsibilities

Support recruitment and selection of student-athletes.
Instruct baseball skills and techniques; plan practices and prepare for competitions.
Monitor academic progress of student-athletes and maintain team statistics.
Coordinate scheduling, travel, equipment and logistics.
Represent the College professionally and ensure compliance with MCCAA/NJCAA rules.
