Job summary

Lansing Community College invites applications for the Assistant Baseball Coach position within the baseball program. The coach reports to the Athletic Director and assists in recruiting, instruction, and coordinating practices, travel, and equipment in support of student-athlete success.

Responsibilities include monitoring academic progress, ensuring NJCAA rules compliance, and maintaining team statistics as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of baseball fundamentals, training methods, player development and game strategy.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and travel as required by the competition and recruiting schedule.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and selection of student-athletes, instruction in Baseball skills and techniques, and preparation for practices and competitions.
• Monitor student-athlete academic progress and coordination of program operations, including maintaining team statistics per MCCAA and NJCAA requirements.
• Promote student-athlete success and represent the College in a professional manner while assisting in scheduling, travel, equipment and related team logistics.
