Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is seeking a Helicopter Aeromedical Aviation Pilot (HAA) in a full-time role. The position focuses on leadership and training for base pilots, coordinating flight operations, and ensuring safe, compliant flight activities across missions.

The role requires extensive rotorcraft flight time and the appropriate commercial and instrument ratings. The organization emphasizes safety, public relations involvement, and ongoing readiness for emergency medical services.

Qualifications

• Rotorcraft-Helicopter Commercial Certificate required.
• Rotorcraft-Helicopter Instrument Rating required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and training to Base Line Pilots.
• Develops and coordinates with the Regional Director of Flight Operations on pilot duty schedules.
• Coordinates flight planning activities and resources for mission support at the base.
• Conducts local area orientations for all new hire pilots assigned to the base.
• Coordinates aviation activities for public relations events.
• Reviews and submits monthly flight/duty logs to the Regional Director of Flight Operations.
• Monitors pilots and assists in day-to-day flight and administrative issues.
• Submits payroll grids to the Regional Director of Flight Operations.
• Operates the aircraft safely with emphasis on Rotorcraft Flight Manual compliance.
• Monitors forecast weather changes and conditions.
• Conducts preflight inspections and documents discrepancies.

Rotorcraft-Helicopter Instrument Rating
