Job summary

BAC is seeking a cook at Patrick Space Force Base, Riverside Dining, to perform duties efficiently under the site leadership team. The role requires coordinating meal preparation, supervising tasks, and ensuring quality and safety in a fast-paced dining environment.

The job includes preparing varied menu items, managing workflow, and maintaining adherence to procedures and safety standards to support the base community and employees.

Qualifications

• Some commercial cooking experience required.
• Background screening for access to the work areas.
• Pre-employment drug test required.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to Cook personnel, ensure work starts and pace.
• Use a full range of cooking procedures and prepare meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, sauces and gravies.
• Coordinate work to ensure adequate workload and check progress.
• Prepare multiple menu items for one meal with planning and coordination to serve together.
• Keep management informed of operations, progress, delays, and training needs.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping procedures are followed by all workers on shift.
