Job summary

Metropolitan Mechanical Contractors in Eden Prairie, MN, is seeking a Building Automation Systems Project Manager to lead BAS/BI projects, plan schedules, manage budgets, and coordinate engineers, technicians, contractors, and vendors to deliver digital HVAC control solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or related field and at least five years of PM experience in building automation, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in BAS or related industry.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficient in reading/developing HVAC control plans, wiring, and control strategies.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and define objectives.
• Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, technicians, contractors, and vendors.
• Serve as primary client contact and communicate project status.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with standards and budgets; coordinate subcontracting.
• Prepare regular progress reports to management.
• Manage engineering and technician labor for submittals, material orders, programming, graphics, and commissioning.
