Job summary

Building Automation System Company in Miami, FL is seeking an Entry-Level Project Assistant to support BAS projects in both field and office settings. The role blends site work with project coordination and documentation, under mentorship to build technical and project skills.

Ideal candidates are curious, organized, and eager to learn how BAS installations and commissioning are performed in buildings. Training and mentorship will be provided to develop essential skills for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Comfortable using computers and basic software (Excel, Word, email).
• Interest in technical systems, air conditioning, or building automation.
• Ability to work regularly on construction sites and in the field.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Work on construction job sites assisting with Building Automation System installations.
• Support technicians during system startup, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Assist with complex installation tasks when needed.
• Help guide installers using construction project drawings and documentation.
• Observe and learn how air conditioning systems operate with automation controls.
• Collect field information, photos, and measurements for project documentation; organize project files and reports.
• Assist project managers with project tracking and coordination with other stakeholders.
