Southwest Electrical Contracting Services in Charlotte, NC is seeking a motivated Building Automation System (BAS) Installer Helper to support our installation team on commercial and industrial automation projects. This entry-level position offers hands-on training and a clear path into electrical or building automation careers.

You will assist with installing BAS controls, panels, and devices; run conduit and pull wire; support lead installers; and maintain safe, organized work areas, while

Qualifications

• Meets SWECS minimum eligibility requirements for a new hire.
• Has access to reliable transportation.
• Maintains an excellent record of attendance.
• Maintains a minimum required tool list.
• Able to work in construction environments (indoors/outdoors, ladders, lifts, etc.).
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor throughout the day.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools preferred.
• Prior electrical or construction experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of BAS controls, panels, and devices.
• Help run conduit, pull wire, and organize materials on job sites.
• Support lead installers and technicians with daily tasks.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Follow safety policies and OSHA guidelines at all times.
• Load/unload tools, equipment, and materials.
• Learn BAS systems, electrical practices, and installation techniques.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
