Job summary

Southwest Electrical Contracting Services seeks a motivated BAS Installer Helper to support our installation team on commercial and industrial automation projects in Raleigh, NC. This entry-level role offers hands-on training in electrical and BAS systems and a clear path to advancement.

You will assist with conduit, wire, and device installation, while supporting lead installers to complete projects safely and to company standards. A reliable vehicle and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Meets SWECS minimum eligibility requirements for a new hire.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Reliable transportation.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Minimum required tool list.
• Able to work in construction environments (indoors/outdoors, ladders, lifts).
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor daily.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools preferred.
• Prior electrical or construction experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of BAS controls, panels, and devices.
• Run conduit, pull wire, and organize materials on job sites.
• Support lead installers and technicians with daily tasks.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Follow safety policies and OSHA guidelines at all times.
• Load/unload tools, equipment, and materials.
• Learn BAS systems, electrical practices, and installation techniques.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
