Job summary

Solid Rock Recruiting, LLC seeks a Controls Business Development Manager to grow the BAS/Controls division across Texas, building relationships with owners, facility managers, engineers and contractors.

You will identify new opportunities, develop budgets and proposals, and coordinate with estimating, engineering, and operations teams to win long-term contracts.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in BAS/Controls BD, strong HVAC knowledge, and a proven record of account growth in the Texas market.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of business development experience within the BAS/Controls industry.
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, building automation, and controls applications.
• Established industry relationships and knowledge of the Texas commercial construction and facilities markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to grow BAS/Controls revenue within assigned markets.
• Build and maintain relationships with building owners, facility managers, general contractors, engineers, and other key decision-makers.
• Identify new construction, retrofit, modernization, and controls service opportunities.
• Work closely with estimating, engineering, and operations teams to develop proposals, conceptual budgets, and project strategies.
• Serve as a technical resource for customers evaluating building automation systems, controls upgrades, and energy management solutions.
• Lead customer presentations, proposal discussions, and contract negotiations.
• Research market opportunities, identify target customers, and develop long-term account strategies.
• Participate in industry associations, networking events, and strategic business development initiatives.
• Support and mentor less experienced team members while collaborating with leadership on growth strategies.
