Job summary

Air Systems, Inc. in San Jose, CA is seeking an experienced BAS Field Programmer/Engineer to create controls programs and system databases. You will design, program, and install control systems for client buildings, and document systems compliance with design specifications.

Strong leadership and client-focused communication are essential. The role involves collaborating with the installation team and engineering to ensure accurate wiring, testing, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred.
• 5+ years controls experience.
• Ability to read construction blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of HVAC control systems required.
• Knowledge of electrical schematics required.
• Proficient with MS Office, Windows, and basic TCP/IP networking.
• Willingness to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain clear communication with colleagues and clients.
• Build and nurture client relationships to encourage satisfaction and repeat business.
• Provide control drawings to engineering and drafting groups.
• Integrate systems to onboard micro-processors.
• Test and ensure quality of control programs and documentation.
• Collaborate with Installation Team to verify wiring and control device installation.
• Identify and resolve project-related issues for smooth execution.
• Follow Air Systems procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
