Building Automation Systems (BAS) Controls Technician

Plantation, FL | Full-Time | $38–$43/hour

We are recruiting an experienced Building Automation / HVAC Controls professional for a growing organization specializing in Building Automation Systems, Energy Management Systems, and HVAC Controls throughout South Florida.

This role is ideal for someone who can do more than install or service controls. We are looking for a hands‑on BAS professional with experience programming, configuring, commissioning, and troubleshooting Building Management Systems (BMS) in commercial HVAC environments.

Experience with protocols such as BACnet/IP, BACnet MS/TP, Modbus, or similar building‑control communications is highly desirable.

Additional Requirements
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities
  • Comfortable working independently in customer facilities and active jobsites
  • Able to work in mechanical rooms, on rooftops, and from ladders when required
  • Strong customer‑service and communication skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple service calls or projects
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to complete a pre‑employment background check and drug screening
  • Willingness to travel locally as required to support customer sites
  • Technical degree, trade‑school training, controls certifications, or equivalent hands‑on experience preferred
