LINK Staffing in Houston, TX is seeking BAS/HVAC Controls Technicians for a direct-hire role supporting commercial building automation systems. The position covers installation, start-up, testing, commissioning, and ongoing service across customer sites in the Houston area.

Ideal candidates have experience with building automation, HVAC controls, and electrical systems, plus the ability to read schematics and diagrams. Travel, overtime, and ongoing training are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Experience or technical training in building automation, commercial HVAC, electrical controls, electronics, industrial controls or a related technical field.
• Understanding of commercial HVAC or mechanical systems.
• Ability to read or learn to read wiring diagrams and control schematics.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer and networking knowledge.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel to customer jobsites throughout the Houston area.
• Availability for occasional overtime or weekend work when required.

Responsibilities

• Install, start up, test and service commercial Building Automation Systems.
• Assist with or independently perform DDC system commissioning.
• Troubleshoot controllers, sensors, HVAC equipment and related control-system issues.
• Read wiring diagrams, control drawings, mechanical plans and technical documentation.
• Configure controllers, databases and building automation software.
• Test, calibrate and verify system operation.
• Create or modify control sequences, programs and system graphics based on experience.
• Document completed work, system changes and commissioning results.
• Communicate field conditions, project progress and technical concerns.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, subcontractors and project teams.
• Support customer training following installation or system upgrades.
• Follow company safety procedures and jobsite requirements.

Houston, TX | Direct Hire | $35 - $50/hr

LINK Staffing is conducting a confidential search for BAS/HVAC Controls Technicians to join a growing commercial building systems organization in the Houston area.

Candidates at different experience levels may be considered. We are interested in speaking with experienced BAS professionals as well as commercial HVAC, electrical or controls technicians who have a strong technical foundation and want to continue developing their building automation skills.

Compensation will be based on BAS experience, programming and commissioning capabilities, platform knowledge, certifications and ability to work independently. Highly qualified senior-level candidates may be considered above the posted range.

This is a direct-hire opportunity. The selected candidate will become a permanent employee of the hiring company.

What You'll Do
