ControlsJobs is seeking a BAS Controls Project Manager in New Jersey to lead data center and building automation initiatives. You will oversee scope, timelines, budgets, and client relations across mission-critical facilities.

Ideal candidates bring experience with BAS/HVAC controls or MEP projects, strong leadership, and proficiency with MS Project and Bluebeam. You will coordinate subcontractors, engineers, and internal teams, conduct site visits, prepare documentation, and ensure safety

Qualifications

• Experience managing BAS, HVAC controls, or MEP projects—mission-critical experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of Building Automation Systems, integration processes, and construction workflows.
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors, internal technical teams, and client representatives.
• Skilled in project documentation, budgeting, and scheduling tools (MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational strengths.

Responsibilities

• Manage BAS initiatives across major data center, commercial, and mission-critical projects.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, engineers, and internal teams.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, project schedules, deliverables, and field activities.
• Prepare and process RFIs, change orders, and all required project documentation.
• Handle project budgeting, financial forecasting, and progress reporting.
• Conduct frequent site visits to verify quality, progress, and safety compliance.
• Participate in coordination meetings to align project resources and timelines.
• Manage procurement and ensure timely delivery of BAS equipment and materials.
• Provide direction to installation and service technicians when required.
• Build strong working relationships with clients, vendors, and project stakeholders.

• Compensation: $110K–$160K (DOE) + ~20% Annual Bonus
