Job summary

Jobot is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our building automation team in St. Louis. You will design, program, and Commission BAS/DDC systems for diverse facilities, collaborating with project managers and field technicians to deliver reliable automation solutions.

You will configure controllers, graphics, and interfaces, select hardware, and produce complete documentation. Travel to customer sites and provide on-site training and support through project execution.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience designing, programming, or engineering BAS/DDC systems.
• Experience with commercial HVAC control systems and energy management systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, control diagrams, and sequences of operation.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment and control strategies.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Design complete DDC/BAS control systems based on project plans and sequences of operation.
• Develop and configure controller programming, graphics, and front-end interfaces for HVAC equipment.
• Select and verify control hardware and field devices for compatibility and performance.
• Review project scope, requirements, budgets, and schedules with project managers.
• Produce engineering drawings, submittals, and O&M manuals.
• Coordinate with purchasing and operations to ensure timely material delivery.
• Assist with system startup, commissioning, and turnover.
• Provide customer training and technical support during project execution.
• Troubleshoot system issues with internal teams.
