Job summary
MOHR Talent in Plantation, FL is seeking an experienced Building Automation Controls Technician to program, configure, commission, and optimize BAS/BMS for commercial facilities. This is a 100% onsite, field-based role serving the Fort Lauderdale area with relocation required for non-local candidates.
You will work on BAS/BMS programming, troubleshoot controllers, integration from installation through commissioning, and maintain documentation.
Qualifications
- Experience programming and configuring Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS), not just monitoring.
- Strong HVAC controls troubleshooting and system setup.
- Familiarity with BAS platforms such as Niagara, Schneider, Siemens, Johnson Controls, or Trane.
Responsibilities
- Program, configure, modify, and troubleshoot BAS/BMS systems, controllers, and HVAC control sequences.
- Set up new control systems, configure devices, and support installation through commissioning.
- Troubleshoot and optimize HVAC controls and system performance.
- Perform system startups, functional testing, calibration, and ongoing optimization.
- Diagnose communication failures in control networks and IP-based connectivity.
