Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Building Automation Applications Engineer in Charlotte, NC to develop and support HVAC control solutions for commercial and institutional facilities. You will translate project requirements into BAS/DDC applications and work closely with project managers, programmers, and field teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in Building Automation and HVAC controls engineering.
• Ability to translate project requirements into BAS/DDC solutions.
• Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus and networked control systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop BAS/DDC applications and control strategies for commercial HVAC systems.
• Review mechanical plans, sequences of operation, and project requirements.
• Select controllers, sensors, actuators, and other control system components.
• Develop control sequences, points lists, network architecture, and system layouts.
• Engineer applications for AHUs, VAVs, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, heat pumps, and central plant equipment.
• Create submittals, bills of material, control diagrams, and technical project documentation.
• Support BAS programming, graphics, startup, and commissioning teams.
• Coordinate with customers, consulting engineers, project managers, and field teams to meet project requirements.
